1996: Year of Marriage
In March 1996, I was invited to a house party by a director of a property development company in Penang. I was talking to him, and unintentionally asked him if he was interested to employ me. Much to my surprise, he showed his interest and asked me to meet him in his office the next day. On the following day, I met him in his office, and I was offered a three years working contract, to be started on 15 March 1996. I was paid quite well, good enough to overcome all my financial burdens at that time. Thanks God, the job came in at the right time when it was much needed. Without the job, I could not survive. I began my working life in the property development company. No long after that, I proposed to marry Elaine. I love her and I knew it was God's will for us to be together. We were married on 28 September 1996. I thank God for providing me a job with good pay, or else I would not have the financial capability to marry Elaine and to start my own family. "God knows our needs, and will continue to provide us our needs to sustain our Christian live. At that crucial time of my life, I needed love and family warmth. God provided me the financial means to support a new family."
