No Fire in Hell
I believe hell means eternal death, nothingness, the deads don't even know
they existed before. My reasons are as below:
- God promises to completely destroy evil, no evil means no suffering.
- God will not compromise with Satan and let Satan rule over hell.
- How can I be joyful in heaven if there're many souls suffering eternally in
hell, including my loved ones?
- Eternal suffering serves no purpose at all.
Heaven stands for being with God, being saved and alive eternally, and hence
the opposite of heaven - hell means being seperated from God and eternal death.
Water represents life, and hence the opposite of water - fire means death. If
we use this kind of figurative thinking to interprete the scripture, we will
have a complete different understanding of hell.
