No Sign is The Sign
I realize that many non-believers want to see the evidence of Jesus / God in order to believe. They want to see miracles and signs. My advice to them is to search no more, as no sign will be given to them, God wants us to believe in Jesus by faith alone. Mark 8:12 He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.” God will never speak from the sky to make everyone believe, instead he works in a subtle and humble way, by calling on us indirectly. Once we accept his call by believing in Jesus as our savior, he will build a personal and close relationship with us. Initially, he wants us to believe in him by faith and not by following the sign. But once we have the Holy Spirit lives inside us, we then realize that infact signs are everywhere; his love, our self-tranformation, his creations, etc. All the happenings and confusions in our world today seem to point to God's will of not providing any sign to the non-believers. One example is the split of Christianity to so many denominations, plus the existence of many other religions, to avoid influence and domination of Christianity. So, no sign will ever be given to this generation. Without physical and visual contact with God, we believe in him by faith and learn to love him by faith. Is there a purpose? Definitely yes. After all these years of a love-God relationship by faith, you can imagine what will happen when we finally meet God in heaven - our love for him will become so strong that we will just knee, praise and worship him, and will never rebel him eternally. "No sign will be given to this generation" has its purpose. The non-believers should search no more, God simply leaves no sign..... which infact is THE SIGN. end... |
